Example
Jim in accounting has a team of two employees and needs to determine who can make purchases on behalf of the company. Using the Authority and Approval matrix he decides that his team member Mary can make purchases under five hundred dollars without having to gain additional approval, and Joey can make purchases over five hundred dollars but must consult Jim before spending over a thousand dollars. This protects the company from unauthorized spending but allows Jim’s team to work autonomously within set boundaries.
